I have difficulty listening to music and giving my full attention the lyrics. I really have to be focused on the lyrics to get anything out of them. Otherwise I tend to respond more to the melody or the beat.

Recently though it was all clicking. I had been to a gathering of friends and was driving home in a rather euphoric state. I put in a favorite CD and heard it in an entirely new way. It was amazing. I had listened to the CD a hundred times fefore, but I had never really heard it. I heard the words and they resonated with me. I felt the emotions and they pounded through me like the tide in a wavepool. It was tremendous.

I think people should read more comics. Yes, I know. I once wrote about _The Watchmen_ for this and other prominent blogging sites, but I still believe that comics are great and can contribute to literacy.

I just started reading the Planet Hulk run of the Incredible Hulk comic series. It's great. I dig it. Kids dig it. Let's get to it. Planet Hulk - pretty sweet.
